Sasha Boniface (she, her, hers)
RCC, BA, MEd

As a part of my ongoing commitment to be the best helper I can be, I frequently see my own therapist. And, to best ensure that I am present with my clients in session, I regularly get in the water – I have been a self-taught recreational swimmer since being diagnosed with an inflammatory disease at age 21 (though I’ve been a water baby for life).

Both swimming and weightlifting make up a large part of my spare time and provide me relief from the chronic autoimmune conditions I live with. This goes along with my love for cooking and eating; and there has to be music, a podcast or a friend chattering on in the background (because these are great tools to quiet anxiety).

When I do read - I am not the biggest reader but when I do - I read mostly about more counselling theory, or biographies about other people who have gone through the messy stuff of being human.

This work is my passion and I feel that this translates to the space that I hold for my clients.
