I understand that no one ‘therapy type’ fits all. Therefore, I ensure that I draw from a range of evidenced-based counselling modalities to best meet my clients’ needs. In addition to Emotion Focused, Narrative, and Internal Family Systems Therapies (see homepage), my work is informed by Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and other behavioural models, that help us integrate more tangible ‘skills’ for building emotional regulation, insight and communication. Above all I know, and the research tells us, that it is the therapeutic relationship that counts.
